(2004-2005) Long-time Inglemoor High School wrestling coach Tom Sewell retired after 32 years of coaching.

His last season he earned:

  • 4A State Coach of the Year
  • 4A Region II Coach of the Year
    4A KingCo Coach of the Year

Additionally, his youngest son Mikey won his THIRD State Championship (@160)

Wrestling Biography:
Tom Sewell started wrestling at Blanchet HS under the legendary Bill Herber (1965-69), then at Shoreline Community College before earning his teaching certificate and taking assistant positions at Juanita and Bothell High Schools.

Coach Sewell stared coaching at Inglemoor in 1981 and has been the Viking's coach for 24 years. In addition, he has coached Junior High wrestling for 28 years. Last years Northshore Jr. High was League Champions!
His record includes:
- 36 state placers and 5 State Champions
- 14 KingCo Championships
- 1 Regional Championship & 3, 2nd place Regional finishes
- 2, Top-10 State Finishes
- Overall Dual Meet record: 262-51-1

His first year of coaching he had eight wrestlers and he has continued to build the program into one of the most respected in the state. His dedication and commitment to the sport, and his devotion to the development of the young men (and women) who participate in it are to be commended.
